Then came life aboard an aircraft carrier. With more than 3,000 people aboard, there were plenty of germs to go around, so Mandi washed her hands frequently. But frequent washing combined with the ship’s harsh recycled seawater dried her hands to the point that they began to crack and bleed. She remembered she had some of her handmade body butter aka Skin Stuff, with her and started using it on her hands.
Within days, she saw her skin begin to become more hydrated and less irritated. Other Sailors started trying it too, and the word spread like crazy. What Mandi had created for herself and her family was becoming something much bigger.
And just like that, Skin Stuff and Smooth Sailing Skin were born.
